Wow !! I posted a note at 7:04 this evening stating I had signed in earlier and again later and everything was fine.  After I finished that note and clicked to save it the screen took me back to that long screen we were seeing with every department listed. I was very surprised because the site had been working fine. SO (how about this !) I went back in the post to report that my screen had changed to that long list again, started to type but the font size changed to a size 1 and not the size 4 I usually post with. I tried numerous times to change it to size 4 font but it kept returning to size 1 font.  I went ahead and typed about the change  back to that long list of departments again and posted my note. I just got back to the post again and I see my note did not post, it's a blank screen with just my forum name. See my empty post above this one !! Really weird stuff. I just wanted to explain why posters see my empty post.

Here's how I'm getting on here:  it's 9:40 in the evening, DST, East Coast, and this is the first time that I have been able to get here all day.

This is probably a result of changing providers, updating way out of date software and operating system or a lot of other computer related issues.

They patch it or move parts, run updates, take the system down to test it, try to get it back on line, etc.

Husband worked in IT, and stuff happens when major changes are made or updates, or service companies.  His problem was that he worked on systems that had to be running and there was little down time available.

Thank you for the tip.  This is the problem I've been having.  You will save me time the next time it happens.

And if I remember correctly from a poster familiar with forums such as this, this forum is outsourced and an old template so it often doesn't play well when the Q updates the main site.

@geezerette QVC switched IT providers a few years ago.  I remember that.  It went to India I believe when the customer service went to India.  Nothing has been the same since.

I sometimes wonder if this switch and the ensuing issues are a bigger part of QVC's issues than we know.  I wonder if they can't manage inventory, shipping, or customer service to an adequate level since that switch.

Customer service was wonderful in the old days.

It would be nice to have a statement about the technical difficulties like other on line stores do to keep consumers. I have had other places inform customers of updates etc.. This helps, as one thinks it is their browser,  computer, tablet on their end. It just adds to the frustration of not knowing who is experiencing problems or why?

I think that if they were serious about correcting this, they would have made an announcement.  Apparently this is not one of their priorities.   Just my opinion.

Its so messed up. I tried to get to the forums this morning with no luck

Doesn't seem to matter if you try on app or website

If you try to heart a post, that doesn't work
