Exactly, and I guess they think we're all too stupid to know this.
Well, not all of us are!

All of us have shopped in stores, other than QVC!

That's how we roll in the shire..

However, the store's regular asking price is always on the tag. Then, if the item is on clearance, that additional information is also on the tag. Has anyone gone to a clearance sale at a brick & mortar store where there's no consumer information on what the product orginally sold for? That's essentially what QVC is now doing. I agree they're doing it to deceive us about their puny discounts. It's not the most ethical way of doing business.

Frankly, I'm surprised the Q would ever do something like this. Tawdry!

I do not see this as sneaky or deceptive. You know what the product is and the price you will pay. How is this sneaky or deceptive?

Of course, if you will not "fall" for it here, I can only assume that you refuse to shop at Macy's, Kohl's, and Bed Bath & Beyond -- all of which have similar practices.

No, they don't.

Those that are the most critical of anything and everything about QVC sure have no problem with posting here.

I have to wonder if other businesses pay some corporate shills to be critical of QVC and to get those who can't think for themselves to jump on the haters bandwagon and get them to quit buying here!!! To hear some talk, QVC is an awful place to do business with Just seems too bizarre that these Q haters just don't shop elsewhere. Something is definitely not right here !!

What's not right here is your response. Just seems too bizarre.

If someone was paying me to be critical of QVC, I would
certainly get a lot meaner. How silly that statement was..

That's how we roll in the shire..

I have noticed this practice sometime ago and make no mistake it IS deceiving - at least to those of us who shop brick and mortar stores, know how to read tags which clearly show the original price the store was offering to sell the item for!! To Plaid Pants I don't see the connection with your post to the Q's clearance price and failing to post their ORIGINAL selling price but rather the manufacturer's suggested selling price which is ridiculous at best! I will not be fooled by this tactic nor will many others! We are not idiots and it's actually insulting!

No sillier than posting ""I have to wonder if QVC pays some corporate shills to scold anyone who is critical of the company"". Only posted that to show just how ridiculous some get about criticizing QVC repeatedly on their own boards and not tolerating those of us who have no problems with shopping here. What is even more silly is the posters that are so unhappy with everything QVC but yet still watch just to keep posting over and over the same stupid things then get crazy radical and harassing (just like the mean girls in jr high) to anyone who differs with their opinions'!! I get it you don't like QVC but I like to shop here!!

Oh my, and another big yada, yada, yada, again and again... Silly, silly, silly... Oh yea. Uh huh... Whatever... What strikes me as silly is even suggesting customers have to be alerted to how sad things have become and then induced to so post... It's not rocket science... Far more likely that the Q would encourage favorable responses on these boards than that another entity would seek out posters, then find a way to contact them and then to 'commission' their posts, somehow cajoling them into saying what they were going to say in the first place: that the Q's programming now routinely stinks and that their 'business practices' seem to become more and more iffy... I'm not saying that either is happening and while the boards are always open to posters of all ilks, it does seem rather masochistic for some to continue to come onto the The Q Did What forums and expect to see glowing commentary about the Q that was... To then expect sweetness and light when they routinely aim to 'correct' what they view as others' mis-perceptions is just downright irrational...
