I agree with the wine on set. Wine....everywhere. It has gotten to be like cigarettes used to be. Used as a prop....sipping, holding, filling glasses. There are many wino alcoholics out there and yet it is accepted the way coffee used to be. Moms get together and have a glass of wine rather than a cup of tea or coffee at all times of the day. COVID made it even worse.

I hope you find new things you enjoy, new people to watch on tv, and yet have your happy memories and fondness for other people and things that you encounter throughout life.
Sooner, You sound like such a kind. caring and classy lady. I wish you were my neighbor. Have a Blessed week sweet lady.

I have been a customer for 20+ years and loved not only some terrific clothes, household items, and garden equipment, but also the banter between host and guest.
Because of some recent changes I feel I cannot watch as regularly as in the past. I know QVC is a business and in it to make money. I just do not want them to have anymore of my money. I am just sounding off.Are you comparing the loss of a loved one (your reference to being a grief counselor)to the dismissal of some show host trying to sell you something?
I wish you well but I think anyone that forms attachments to show hosts designed to make you part with your $$$$, are better off thinking about a change of venue.
A few years ago I said something similar on here and I was set straight and apologized. I was informed that some of the customers who shop at QVC or HSN are homebound and lonely. Their source of companionship are the sales people on TV. It is sad, but true. So, like me, become a bit more sensitive to these fine ladies. May you have a pleasant day dear lady.

@Tatanoo46 I agree. I am still making purchases, but I have had a lot of returns lately, for one reason or another. I opened a package yesterday, which was supposed to be Denim & Co. medium wash jeans, but was Susan Graver wide leg pants instead, a tan color no less. Aside from my returns, I started thinking about how I am helping to pay the salaries and benefits of hosts that totally turn me off. I think keeping that in mind will persuade me to be more selective in what I spend my money on at QVC.

Now, the chemistry between Gary and Carolyn are gone. I have to turn shows off because the loud chatter is so annoying. I thought I was shopping for items, not what the hosts are doing with their lives and what they are buying which take up 90% of some presentations.
@misschristy I have been disappointed in Isaac lately. Those pima cotton tops and dresses all shrink. I don't need to be hanging up tons of clothes to dry. And his prints, ugh. So many flowers. Of course, I don't think he is designing anything of his that is on QVC.

I like some hosts and avoid other hosts. I really don't understand how people get so attached to a salesperson. They certainly don't care about viewers. All they care about is a sale.
Decisions? Sorry, but that is a nothing burger. We had to take my brother off life support yesterday and that's a real and difficult decision.
@CalminHeart So sorry for your loss.

Family is defined as a group of people related by birth, marriage, or adoption. QVC and its hosts don't really qualify. As Antonella pointed out, it's a business.
