I didn't know dentists did Botox ! I was shocked !
@SharkE Dentists usually only inject Botox to relieve or prevent TMJ pain. My dentist has a sign up in the waiting room.
I think there's an age when Botox and fillers look weird...like me at 76 would never want a smoothe wrinkle free face. Who would I be fooling?
??? I don't think softening deep wrinkles is meant to "fool" anyone. Usually, it's just done to improve appearance.
Since you brought it up, does wearing makeup "fool" anyone?
@Tinkrbl44 - I don't find there's any age limit for one to have any type of procedure done - whether it's botox, plastic surgery, coloring hair, etc. It's all done for one's self without the intention of trying to "fool" anyone.
If it makes someone feel better, there should be no age limit. I'm in agreement with you that it's to help someone improve his/her appearance.

@Tinkrbl44 There's no comparison between makeup and Botox. Makeup, when done light, tasteful and natural enhances the face. Botox changes the movement of areas of the face and can raise eyebrows sometimes not evenly. Fillers may cause the face to look swollen, uneven and an unnatural wrinkle free face on a woman of a certain age. Everyone has smile lines, nasolabial folds, etc. unless you're 12 yrs. old.
It does not fool anyone, but is dishonest if you don't admit to it. Makeup and hair color are obviously done for the world to see. Yes, those may make you feel better about yourself. A bad injectable or plastic surgery pulled too tight is somewhat permenant...doesn't wash off with cleanser at night.

OMG. Celebrities talk about it all the time! They are always talking about dissolving this or dissolving that. I would say most do talk about it. So it's not the exception.

Botox is not a taboo subject and Shawn is not the second coming.
Shawn Killinger is a sales clerk on a TV Home Shopping channel, nothing more. She sells merch, period. She has a podcast through QVC. If Shawn left QVC tomorrow, she would go the way of other more notable salespeople who worked on QVC and fade into obscurity.

Seems like young women are getting Botox. Who needs this in their 40s? Is it low self esteem? If I remember correctly I was wrinkle free at that age. It's actually surprising how many women have Botox. Amy mentioned she has Botox.

I think celebrities talk about fillers and Botox when they go over the top and their faces start looking blown up like Cindy Lou Who from Whoville and have to get the stuff removed.
OR
They have a serious reaction and have no choice, but to make it public. 🥴
No. They talk about it all the time. As if it's their right to get botox because they are in the public eye. If you get a newsfeed on all things beauty there is article after article on this actress talking about botox or that actress talking about it.
New Beauty magazine is a bible on botox and other "procedures". And their covers is always an actress or celebrity.

I guess if you were a sun worshipper and or didn’t wear sunscreen at all you will get wrinkles early in life. 🤷🏻♀️
Unfortunately we knew nothing about sunscreen in my youth. I lived near the beach and was there from dusk to dawn. Surprisingly I didn't get wrinkles early in life. Lucky I guess.
