$64 pet cleansing conditioner?

Have any of you tried this product? It gets good reviews, and I guess people who pay a lot for Wen would spend it on their pets as well. But is it that good? Just curious...

Re: $64 pet cleansing conditioner?

I purchased WEN for myself and didn't notice a difference from my regular shampoo. I have Labs and since Chez has Labs I thought I would give his pet shampoo a try since Labs can have skin issues. Neither me or my husband noticed a difference in their coats. They did smell like maple syrup. LOL It was hard to get the shampoo to mix with water though. The shampoo is so thick I had to shake it to mix for quite a while and it still didn't look like it was completely mixed together. I did not purchase it again .. not because of the price but because we didn't notice a difference.

A person has to have a distinct lack of common sense to pay that much for dog shampoo. On the rare occasion that I bathe one of my dogs, I use a bottle of $1, baby shampoo from the dollar store.

Insulting people says more about the person making the comment than it does about who it's directed at. Those kinds of comments are not useful in a sincere discussion.

I was reluctant to purchase WEN Pets due to the price, but after some hemming and hawing, I ordered it. I have a very large Golden Retriever. I do not bathe him myself so before ordering, I made sure my groomer was OK with using it. She was. I mix up the bottle at home and just bring the one use at a time, it mixes fine for me. I made sure she understood that it wouldn't lather and that it would take longer to rinse out. She was very accommodating, and continues to be. My dog looks great after his bath. His coat is soft, shiny, and beautiful. For my dog, it brakes down to about $6.50 per bath. I don't consider that bad and my boy is worth it.

Re: $64 pet cleansing conditioner?

$64 is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on dog cleanser. I have 6 dogs, three of which are Labs, one a Golden mix. I use Drs. Foster and Smith shampoo and it does quite well cleaning them. I bet Chaz laughs all the way to the bank.

Re: $64 pet cleansing conditioner?

I have a pure bred 7yr. old Red Doberman show dog and the breeder from Brazil we got him from has used "Head and Shoulders" for over 20yrs and believe me you the dogs coats shine like crazy and look so healthy. It also keeps their skin from being dry and itchy/flaky....give it a try, I think you'll like it!!

I DO however use Wen (613) and it has transformed my hair beyond!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
