@Q-Checker wrote:@Kaydee, @grooms,@2muchtrouble: Maybe ,,,,, they are physically disabled and cannot grocery shop and have limited access to delivered groceries with limited items available for delivery. Maybe they live in an areawhere peaches are not available at any price. Maybe they are wealthy and just prefer the service and the convenience. Etc. Hope that starts to respond to your question/comment. All buyers make personal choices and are entitled to do so as long as they are spending THEIR money.
Thank you for saying what I was thinking., and why I buy a lot from QVC. Not everyone has the convience of jumping in a car and going out to a store, also there are people who are wheelchaired bound , there is a life in peoples future, that some on here don't understand and hopefully never will have to.

Buy locally and would never pay anything near what they are offering.

There is this: due to weather conditions, Georgia lost 90 % of their peach crop this season. So, I guess that is how the price is justified.
That being said, in Pennsylvania, our fruit is limited this summer also; the Spring was crazy with wide variations in both temperatures and rainfall.
Again, that being said, we purchased a BUSHEL of good eating peaches at a local orchard for $38. I have had to let them ripen, but once they are ready, they are delicious.

I'm trying not to deviate either, but I buy my bread products at an outlet where the products (Thomas Eng. Muffins), Arnold Breads, etc. are 3 $4.00. Sometimes the muffins are available in a 18 muffins per pack or a double pack of 6 each total of 12 muffins. The products are not past their "sell by" date. Never had a problem with anything purchased as they are always fresh. No more paying over $5 for a pack of 6 Thomas Eng. Muffins or close to $5 for a loaf of Arnolds bread.
ETA -- IMO, paying $60 for peaches is outrageous.

@HLPThank you for your nice reply to my post about the cost of peaches at QVC. You clearly understood ithat the intent of my email was to suggest some reasons why some people would be willing to pay such a high price for peaches in accordance with their individual circumstances, purchases that should not be subject to criticism from others since these consumers are making their own decisions and spending their own money. It is likely that buyers of peaches from QVC are aware that they could buy peaches at a much lower cost in brick and mortar stores or fruit stands, etc.in their own locales. I received one especially rude mocking response (complete with icon figures sticking their tongue out), which the mods deleted. Many others posted about how they would never pay such a premiun price for peaches and/or how they snagged really great buys on peaches in their local venues, laudable scores on the purchases but entirely missing the point of my post -- you didn't miss the point and I appreciate that. Makes me wish I knew your address so I could gift you with some peaches from QVC, sending a special gift to someone being another possible reason for buying peaches from the Q.
