30 Day Money Back Guaranty - not always!

Just a little miffed that QVC didn't honor their famous 30-day guaranty on my recent purchase of Lock and Lock bowls. I've ordered a whole kitchen full of this stuff - and LOVE it, but one of the bowls I ordered cracked. Not a glass bowl, the plastic ones. I called customer service as it was within the 30 days of my purchase. They said they would SEE if they could replace it, but a few days later, I got a call from them that I would have to call Lock and Lock and see if the company would honor THEIR guaranty. When I called L&L, the customer service rep said "Shame on QVC", and then gladly took the information and said he will send me another bowl. I've always been impressed by QVC's customer service, but this time left me shaking my head. What's up, Q?
