Why do some posters accuse others of bashing and writing negative comments when they have written negative comments as well?? Can someone explain?
Good Question!!!! That's what I find interesting and somewhat amusing too....

Sooooo much 'unhappiness', bait to insult or generate arguments & negativity is posted on the forums. Constant bashing of fashion styles someone doesn't like, celebrities, hosts and vendors. It's like some are stuck in a grinder
I think the same thing. I can't speak about the OP, but I have come to the conclusion that some people really are just miserable on this forum.

If you email the Social Team and ask nicely and say you arent questioning moderation, but just want to know what the reason was so you can avoid having future comments deleted--- most likely they will give you an answer

They had this very prominent thread to answer me, and nada. I appreciate the responses here. Time to put it to bed. 😬

QVC is a shopping channel and they are trying to sell their products---thats their main function.....They use this forum, as well as Facebook, emails etc to gather feedback on products, and yes even hosts and vendors. Some of the other categories are more or less to keep us connected to their website and engaged in hopes of future sales. (Ive read interviews in financial journals). Haven't you received requests to complete surveys from businesses and stores asking what you thought of employees, overall experience with a series of questions?
If potential customers are making fun of a fashion style doesnt that perhaps alert the buyers to perhaps why something is not selling as they expected???? Or havent you heard presentations where vendors have said "the QVC customer feedback asked us to change this, or offer that..."
And as far as comments about hosts/vendors---habits and things that make watch less or turn the channel, and therefore buy less are important too....it impacts their bottom line....in fact this is what was posted by QVC's SOCIAL TEAM regarding Forum Guidelines:
*****Community members are welcome to share a negative review about a product or brand, unhappiness with programming, and even share displeasure with a host. But nasty comments will be removed and may result in the author being permanently banned.
***** We strive to continually improve your experience with QVC and appreciate your suggestions.
(So everyone should just let the Moderators do THEIR JOB and determine what they feel is a "nasty comment", and snarky comments to other posters arent allowed per Guidelines either--some of these are much worse than what is said about a host/vendor)
- Personal attacks are not allowed - Don't attack or insult another Community member. It's not helpful and it doesn't make for a friendly place. This includes calling other members names. Disagreement is no excuse for poor manners and we will not allow frustration to turn into a personal attack.
I remember a thread here about Amy using a word that had an inappropriate conotation---and Amy remarked about it recently because she told the vendor she got in trouble for using an inappropriate word.....
And I even have seen comments posted about a host where MODS indicated that they deleted the post but would pass the feedback on---so apprently the way the poster worded it may not have been appropriate, but it was apparently still constructive that the Mods thought someone should be aware of it......
And yes there's the option of ordering online, but the website has very little actual product info, and most customers want to see the product demonstrated or how it looks.........
If this type of thread isnt to your liking you can give yourself a break and skip over it...
Very well said, @Spurt!

This post has been removed by QVC because it is political

That old adage "be careful what you wish for" has certainly come to pass here. Remember the "old forums," without all the heavy-handed moderating ... where you were free to talk about just about anything?
Well, the pendulum has swung way way past "the other way." Now you can only talk about stuff so innocuous as to be like pablum. This may work fine for some but it's certainly frustrating as all get out.
And if I hear "you can always pass by this thread," or go somewhere else, or have THE Chief of the Forum Police tell you how awful you are for saying "bad things" about a host one more time, I'm going to throw up!

@icezeus - yes! I see it as a pattern with some that are practically here 24/7. Nit picking almost every aspect of Q including the weekly program complaint threads and trying to insert comments/topics that are a violation of the standards.
But, there are also some fun and knowledgeable shoppers here that I adore, so I pop in to connect/shop with them. Easy enough to ignore the rest ![]()
