If you are home when she or he chews take a spray bottle and keep it handy and spray a mist of water in her face. We used this for training our dogs and it worked great. I keep them crated when I am not home. I am retired so I'm home most of the time. I don't need spray bottles any more, they got it quick.

When Chloe was a puppy we used bitter apple spray. But it didn’t work once it had been in awhile. The key for us was when she would chew something we sprayed it thrn let her chew it right away. She would back off immediately. We had her cured of chewing the nobs on the entertainment center within a week. We are lucky because she isn’t a destructive dog. She is a big chewer but on her bones though. She likes nylabones, dogwood sticks and antlers.
