@lolakimono---litter is the same------thought about that too--changed brands a few times but that didn't affect her--food is few ingredients , no grains, no fish or chicken----in both dry and wet food. No people food or treats. Maybe she needs a "pet" to focus on ----had blood work done--all normal but wondering if an allergy test would be in order--but that is for a time when all that can happen again-----

This can be an indicator of pain. Has the vet just examined her? We had a cat do something similar and it turned out she injured her back.
Also, has the routine in your home changed since covid 19? Anyone working from home, etc? Our cat has been jangled by this major routine.

@Sammycat1 's suggestion to check for pain is an excellent one. I was going to suggest having your Vet refer you to a Dermatologist.

I now she's an indoor kitty, but you do take her outside with you whenever you work in the yard or garden. Could she be getting into something outside that's causing an allergic reaction? Vet knows she goes outside a lot, Right? Hope she gets over this bout soon!

I have posted this here before ...give nothing to your pets .. and that
would include litter .. that is made or comes from China .. remember
when they put plastic in the baby formula ....

Fleas? Or it could be skin dematitis. If you cant get her to a vet, then there are over the counter ointments you can check on line.

Allergies! I have one cat who does the exact same thing. I've had good luck with the drops from the site petwellbeing.com
If it gets really bad she has to get a steroid shot which I try to avoid but she can really mutilate herself so sometimes I have no choice.

hmmmm, if you vets, as I had about my lil indoor guy... they'd say indoor kitties CAN INDEED get fleas (they hitch a ride on shoes etc... into the home) ...though fleas would bother the animal in more than one area of the body.
dry skin may be an issue, I use Andrew Lessman OMEGA 3, I use the regular - not the "flavored" type and I spread the oil on my cat's food 2 times a week...his coat stays dandruff free and he's not as itchy as when the seasons change and I forget to do this for him.
Sometimes helping to get more fluids into the diet helps too - like low sodium chicken broth - they seem to love that stuff too.
best of luck to your baby. keep us posted on the progress.
