@Kachina624

The people have already filled out an adoption application and been approved.  This humane society is run extremely well.  They don't get any state funds but rely on donations and grants.  I donate to them every year and adopted a cat from them a few years ago.  Cat Happy

i did not get the frecnh bull dog.

 and i do know how costly it is  to run a rescue.  i kmnow how costly vet bills can be too.

i jist feel that  the local shelters here just do not care.  if they can make money off of the the animals, they do and if they can't they put them down.  we have a hard time just getting them to become no kill shelters. no city or county in utah wants to spend any money on animal shelters if they can avoid dloing so.  it is as if they resent the fact  they have to do so.  i know so many people who will not turn an animal over to them for that fact.

but there are a ton of good rescues and i try to support them in any way that i can.

Aww @shortbreadlover  I feel bad for you, sincerely.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

i hope you get him but for me I would move on. because I went through that and did not even give me a chance gave him to someone else. went somewhere else and got a dog. some of these places do not consider you just more about the dog. sometimes that situation may not be good either. personally first come first serve should be rule. that is why people go to breeders.

That's why I get my "mixed breeds", from people who are giving them free in front of a store etc, or you know someone who needs to rehome their dog for free. I get their shots etc. All the dogs have been, and are amazing pets!

Craigslist , they think they can sell their designer mixed breeds for tons of money, and they have not had their shots or been fixed. A small rehoming fee is ok, Some want  hundreds of dollars. no!  Some want to visit  your home.  No.  If you can't be responsible and let your dog have puppies...I  would be afraid they come and get their puppy back later on.
