Re: looking for ideas on changing a cat's diet

I just wanted to thank all those who wrote in with comments.   I bought the Forti Flora and it does help her eat more wet food.

I have used her obsession with catnip to get her moving more with catnip toys.    We must balance the toys with a stoned cat!    Her favoeite is the catnip mat "Big Mama's Makin' Biscuits Boogie Mat".

I also think that she is getting used to this new home and new moms.    I think she was fed once a day and she feared not getting fed again, causing her to run to the food and gobble it up right away.   Now she  knows that she will be fed when she is hungry and a few times a day (in controlled amounts).   She still overeats a bit and pukes it up but this is less than before.

Socks is also losing weight.   She now has a visible "waddle" (the fleshy hang between her back legs).   She is showing hip bones, even the rear ones sticking up when she "loafs".

Thank you again to all.

She seems more at ease and comfortable.
