Hi beauty, sorry you are not feeling well, and of course it takes it's toll on feelings and emotions. I am so saddened that you are grieving the loss of your Pal. You took the very best care of him, and for him that was in your power. Nothing but time will heal your heart, but of course you will always bear a scar from losing him. Try to focus on the good that you were able to do for him. I have taken care of, and had tragic endings to three different cats that came to me for help in years past. They are able to seek out those who will care for them, and it is very traumatic to lose them. I think that NAES is correct in saying that the "not knowing" and no closure is so very hard to take. These precious animals are our children, and we and they love very deep. A forever kind of love, and that is the greatest blessing of all. Take care of yourself, and know you have friends who understand the pain of your losses.

@beauty junkie  I am so sorry -- now I have the full "story" about all of your troubles.  I know I hate to list all of mine, but that is only because most times they are controllable.  Yours are not.  You have been sent troubles that are not caused by you.  They are part of life, but you have endured so many all at once.

As far as dealing with a loved one -- our pets we still talk about each day... so they are remembered with love.  This has taken time.

As far as dealing with the loss of human loved ones... my thoughts have taken time to become fond memories.  I am so grateful that fond memories have floated in at odd times, but nevertheless, they do float in.

Some will say this is crazy, but I find myself thinking that they are looking down... this brings comfort.

I hope you find comfort, beautyjunkie.  You need some relief from this illness right now.  ((hugs))

Tissyanne, thank you for your kind comments. Sorry it has taken so long to respond. Please know my thoughts are with you regarding the pain of losing your father and also the fears you have for your "elder" kitty. My girl, Sugar, was fourteen when I helped her go to the Bridge about this time three years ago. Since then I've adopted a young cat who was on his way to a shelter. He's a "plain" tabby and they are very often passed over at shelters since there are so many vying for a home. He's a true sweetheart and is now a happy member of my furfamily. Thank you again.

Thank you so much, beastielove. You are very dear to all of us on Pet Lovers and other threads. Yes, my brother and sister are twins so his death has another element of loss for her. Now it's just us girls. Our older sister has always been the undisputed boss although we are very close in age. Our dear mom had a lot to contend with but she did a wonderful job.

Hi everyone,TIssyanne,Silver LIning,lovestoteach and beastie.

Its so nice to have you all here and concerned about me. I will be starting this drug called IMuran next week. Not thrilled but have to do smething as I am still sick with my lupus so maybe that drug will help. The hives and welts are quite painful and hideous so I want them gone and want to get off the steroids.

Silver lIning I can't imagine how hard the brithday of your brother was and for your sister,his twin,must be so difficult. Tommy;s birthday is next month,he owuld have been 64 and my Dads is next week..hewoudl have been 86. I fear I will lose my Mother soon,this has been a bad year,hope it gets better.

lovestoteach thank you for lal that you said,truly appreciate your sharing with me.Losing a loved one is so hard under any circumstance but what happened in my family has been very hard and then I lost 3 friends this year.

I hope I will be able to post that I am better soon. I'm sure I will,I'm being positive.

blankette I am still pretty ill and can't get this under control so looks like its going ot be heavy duty meds to get the lupus into remission. I tried the siler gel and it had no effect at all on hte hives and welts,they repsond to nothing. Its os weird but nothing makes them stop hurting or itch.THank you for everything and trying ot help,really appreciate it.

SilverLIning so glad to see you here and hope y our pup is doing better. Wathcing htem age is hard,Cookie iwll be 11 next month and seeing her limp breaks my heart.I'd take all the hives in the world to keep her healthy. I hope you are doing well and thanks for being here.
