@Corner Road Gang  I can't imagine how anyone could look into those eyes and not take her home!  It's funny, my neighbor has a little dog that looks exactly like her, and her name is also Zoey!  I also had an all black cat for 15 years (she passed in 2014) with that name!

Zoey is a shih tzu.

I know what you mean about black dogs, especially bigger breeders.  They call it the BBD syndrome  in rescues. (Big Black Dog)  They are the last to be rescued.

We have a BBD, Emma, which we rescued at about an estimate on her age of 1.5 years.  We have had her for over 12 years, so she is a teenager and doing pretty good for her age.

Now we have a SBD (small black dog) Zoey ; )

I love all dogs no matter what color they are!  Fabulous creatures!
