Is your Doxie short or long haired?  My granddaughter has a long haired.  Her name is Opal.  I guess "gems" are popular names for Doxies

@monicakm   Well her hair isn't course, it's silky and I guess it would be considered long.  She sheds like CRAZY lol.  

That's adorable your granddaughter named hers Opal.  I don't know what made me come up with Ruby...I just always liked that name lol.❤️
