Poor pup, now she will be in the dog house!

Seriously, who knows how long this pup was left alone. If people

leave for many hours and think the dog will entertain herself then

they better be prepared for chaos and crazyness.

BEFORE we got our first pup I thought it was cruel to crate a dog......

I then learned that it really is for their safety and usually comfort as they feel secure in a 'den.'

It really is impossible to puppy proof everything !

They need puppy/baby gates and those child proof tabs on the doors until the dog is trained. Puppies are just babies with fur. They get bored, lonely,etc. I had a chewer and digger and the crate helped him as well as the gates. He developed into a fine dog.

@Bird mama One of my labs got into a cabinet where I had a box of rice. Ate the whole box. Quick trip to the vet to get his tummy pumped. Yep...lesson learned. Child locks and even the fridge at the time. (freezer on the bottom now)

When they are hungry or bored (or god forbid both) lookout! They're alot smarter and craftier than we give them credit for.
