Pet Lovers

My life is very stressful these days and I was thinking how much harder it would be if 

I didn't have my beloved beagle, Madeleine Pamela, aka Maddie. There are so many funny and terrific things she does but I think, most of all, she loves us and just wants to be part of the family. She is just a joy. If you could choose one of the many things that you love about your fur baby, what would it be?

I love on how he's so smart

I love how he backs up for me to rub his back

i love how he gives little kisses

i love how his eyes light up when I fill his bone with treats

I love how he wants to snuggle (not always but sometimes)

I love how he lets me give him a bath and blow dry

i love how he waits for me

i love how patient he is (most of the time)

I love how he likes to sleep next to my legs

i love how i think he understands me

and i love him for just being him!

With my 16+ year old Sedona (pharaoh hound), I think right now would be her sweetness.  I think she knows her time is limited and she just wants to be around me.  With my greyhound, Story, well, she's just a kook - love her silliness - she makes me laugh every day.  She amazes me every day with how smart she is.  I need silliness right now with what I'm going through with Sedona - it's difficult.

My two beautiful little mini and toy poodles both passed away a couple years back......but the memories are great...and i think the thing i loved the most was looking into those beautiful, loving , trusting and innocent eyes....

When I had my dog( she died in 2008 and life circumstances never allowed me to get another one) I just loved everything about her. Her loyalty, her unconditional love, her personality, her quirks, the funny things she would do. I loved how she saved me from lots of loneliness and many painful times.

I can relate to the shedding, @Drythe, as I've owned collies for 35 years.  The hair just becomes a part of your life!

If I had to pick one thing I love most about my current collie, I'd say his affectionate ways.  He loves to cuddle and snuggle and will let me hug him and lay on him for hours at a time.  It's really sweet.

@hoosieroriginal Just wanted to say that I love Pharaoh Hounds - gorgeous dogs! Have always admired them. 

Sorry to hear what you are going through right now with her - thats always the tough part of loving our puppers as much as we do.  ☹️

I forgot to mention that my beagle refuses to come to bed unless my husband and I are both in the bedroom. If one of us stays downstairs to watch TV or get a snack, she stands at the top of the stairs and waits. If we stay away too long, she gives the offender a couple of barks, as a reminder that she is still waiting. Finally, when everyone is upstairs, she'll go into her bed.

I love everything about my sweet baby boy, Toby.

• I love the way he turns upside down on his back expecting a tummy scratch EVERY time I walk ANYWHERE near him.
• I love the way he gives me sugar every time I pucker up.
• I love the way he checks the perimeter every night when we go to bed to make sure we're safe.
• I love the way he shares all my desserts.
• I love the way he smells when I bathe him in WEN.
• I love the way he is always on his best behavior when we take him out to eat at dog friendly places.  He makes the human children look like hellions!
• I love the way he chases the little crabs on the beach in the morning when they come out of their holes.
• I.LOVE.HIM!!
