https://www.wnep.com/article/news/local/columbia-county/retirees-big-gift-to-animal-shelter/523-ec13...

A man retiring didn't want a party for himself after 49 years of working.

He asked for donations for his local animal shelter. What a response he

received, 100 bags of dog food, wow!

This is for a Pennsylvania shelter that offers free pet food for their pantry

once a month. Most likely, the biggest donation they have seen.

What a wonderful thing he did to help out the animals and people feed their

pets!

May God bless this man with a long and happy retirement for his act of kindness. Also bless all those who donated.  It is uplifting to read a story that is positive and full of hope.

A lovely and inspirational story. Thank you so much for sharing!

Some think only of others. May his kindness and generosity come back to him a hundred fold.

Some dear, wating to be adopted fur children will be happy with the gift of good, nourishing food.

You made my day - thank you again!

on this same note, i just read where the winning team from the superbowl, the team paid for all the adoption fees for the animals in the shelter. so i guess that really helps if the fee is something holding back the adoption of a animal.
