I so remember the recent year the Beagle won! He clearly OWNED the ring.

Such a cutie, have always wanted a small one as a buddy for my Labs.

@Drythe Really not trying to sell you on getting a beagle, but they’re wonderful little dogs. Mine are 13” beagles...manageable size for carrying, bathing, etc. They’re from a show kennel and do not have “hound oily fur/skin/smell/howl”. It’s been bred out of them for the ring. We purchased Molly 5 years ago when Sadie was 9 and it gave her a playmate and amped up her energy to get off her dog bed and exercise more. I’ve had beagles since childhood & all my life. I think these may be #10 & #11. They are one of the only breeds with no inherited health conditions...no back issues, breathing, etc. Short fur and little grooming. Ok. Sale’s pitch over. Your labs would love a beagle. Any children around are great w/ beagles, too.
