I've discovered that my dogs would love to lick my knee after I've applied Voltaren.  I quickly put on a pair of jeans to cover it and wash my hands.

😝  My senior cat loves to lick Berkshire blankets.

And he loves lip gloss, while I'm wearing it.

He looked so shy, the saddest, loneliest cat in the shelter when I adopted him. Brought him home, he started whining, and eight years later he's still whining.

@Kachina624  Thank you for posting. DH uses Voltaren on his knees often and never thought about it.  🐈🐈‍⬛

Voltaren should be allowed to absorbed for 20 minutes or more BEFORE putting on clothing -- otherwise, the medication just seeps into clothing before it seeps into you.  FYI, for whatever it's worth, from my orthopedic surgeon who knows we have a pet.

@Kachina624

I've heard that before, but thanks for posting it here.   As for quickly putting on clothing, let it absorb first.

When I first heard cats like to lick Voltaren, I wondered if it's the smell ... or something else ... that attracts them.

People need to be careful with it as well, it enters the bloodstream and cause issues. One of my dear friends is on chemo and cannot use it (by doctor's order).

Good post! I would suggest if you're using on knees to wear a maxi dress, preventing pups from licking it. Again, shoulders elbows maybe one of those kimonos as they are  large enough maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️
