Actually my post was directed to Brady W, but i hope it brings comfort to anyone who has lost the love of their life that happened to be a pet.

The thing that gives life its greatest significance is the capacity to care

Thanks again, everyone.

I, too, think that "someone" had a hand in Dusty's adoption.  He's so much like Brady that it's unbelievable.

If anyone is hesitant about getting a new dog or cat, please just go and do it.  This helped me so much.

So sorry for the loss of your Brady.  As much as I didn't want to go back and read your story, I did.  How heartbreaking.

I'm overjoyed you have a new love and must say Dusty looks like a real cat's cat.  He is beautiful.  And I am so grateful that you found room in your heart for him.

I don't come to this forum often because I simply cannot take the emotions of what I know people are going through when they lose their pets.  It haunts my mind and soul.  I wish I didn't feel such losses so deeply, but I do.

I found the poems that, of course, made me cry all over, but they are heartfelt and represent hope for tomorrow.
