For those of you who remember my post for prayers for Squeaky, well your prayers worked!. Squeaky is doing fine. He has been home over a week now, he spent 1 night in the bird hospital and I have been watching him closely.. He was diagnosed with arthritis. I had to pad his cage with a blanket on the bottom with paper over it, just in case he falls but he has not fallen. He gets Gabepantine 2 X per day per mouth, he is eating well and maintaining his weight. He is socializing with my other birds. I know he is extraordinarily old but I am so happy to still have him.

All of us who pray for the welfare of a person or a pet well know the power of prayer. 

Very glad Squeaky is thriving and enjoying his life. Perhaps you can find a piece of foam cushioning and cut it to fit the cage bottom so it can stay in place under the cage liner. It will be a softer landing than the blanket surface and easier to rinse off and dry when needed.

I am happy and excited for you and Squeaky.  Thank goodness he is feeling better.

One of my dogs takes Gabapentin too.  I think that drug makes her hungry.  I have a difficult time trying not to give her too many treats or second helpings when she’s begs with those soulful eyes.
