Hi Keeper I found your thread today and read though the posts. SO glad that Riley is feeling better and enjoying his toy. I guess you and your hubs got your Christmas present early. Your post made my day!. Happy holidays!

I certainly hope you, your husband, Riley and kitty have a wonderful holiday filled with lots of love.

We have 2 dogs now but feed and care for 7 feral cats that someone ''dumped'' around here. I caught them with a tender trap and had them all spayed and neutered and up to date on shots.

We put a dog loo dog house on the porch, filled it with straw as well as purr pads(their body heat on these helps keep them warm) and I have a heated water bowl for them.

I always have the water bowl full as well as a large bowl of Purina dry cat chow complete. I give them canned food when they come for it as well as cheese. They only like swiss cheese and of course they love temptations as their treat.

we never had a cat but I can't see anything go hungry.

thinking of you and Riley and know how much Riley appreciates all the love you are giving and all you are doing for him. I know they understand a lot more than most people give them credit for. take care

Doglover3, thank you for thinking of us! What a lovely thing you are doing for those kitties. You are indeed a thoughtful and kind soul. Much like you we have some barn kitties as well unable to tame for house living they have our outbuilding all winterized just for them! They are strangely all 3 females , we fixed as well.it really is a great joy to do for the lesser of us. I am sure your reward will be great. Have a vwonderful holiday and warm wishes to All your fuzzy faces you care for so sweetly! Wishing your new year is filled with simple joy, the best kind! I can tell you have a beautiful heart! I am just so happy you are doing so much for your Riley. It is funny how little some people seem to care for their own pets as well as think nothing of just ''dumping'' some off anyplace like they are a throw away.

We all(animal lovers) do what we can and happy to do it.
