Last night I went outside to my mailbox and when returning to my front door I heard a noise.  I looked around and saw a small bird flapping its wings by the side light.  It kept flapping and going nowhere so I thought it was caught .  I brought my Campanelli small extend a wand duster outside to try and reach him and  maybe release him but I was not successful.  I called a friend who is good with tools and fixing things.  He was able to reach the bird and managed to pull the backplate on the light forward enough to un trap the birds leg.  Luckily the leg was scraped but not broken and he flew away.  The Campanelli  wand worked great holding the bird upright as I waited for help.  I do not know how a bird managed to get stuck or how long he was there but all ended well.  To reward my friend he will be receiving Kansas City ribeyes!

@Gabidog,

That is so great! A good neighbor to the rescue and you did good too!

@Gabidog You saw odd behavior in a bird, but instead of ignoring it thinking it would correct itself, you identified a potential death sentence for the little one!!! Not only did you stop your busy life to help this little guy/girl, you used (of all things lol) a Campanelli duster to save the little one from flapping continuously, thus exhausting itself and possibly dying from all that! Even in the midst of this, you continued to think instead of panic! Between your very centered mind and your friend's ability to free the bird.... that little creature gets to live out its life!Heart

This is THE BEST story and I DO hope you write to Campanelli letting them know of "yet another use for their duster wand"Smiley LOL
