Turned Out To Have A Happy Ending

I was at a stop light at a busy intersection, 2 turning lanes and 4 lanes of traffic (2 lanes of traffic going each direction). About 3 cars ahead of me I saw a small little white poodle loose and going right across all of the lanes. The lane I was in traffic was stopped by the light; however, the other lanes going the opposite direction were all moving. Two men got out of one of the cars and tried to get the dog, but it made it across the street and then I could see them pointing to someone what direction the dog had gone and they then got back into their car.

Immediately I saw a woman running across two lanes of traffic on the phone (perhaps with 911??) and then the dog was back and again running across the street. With traffic coming the woman just ran right into the traffic to get her dog. Thank goodness the dog did go to her and she scooped it up.

When I drove by, the woman was standing in the parkway, talking on the phone and her face was just full of tears of happiness.

There are some homes that are close by, so perhaps the dog had got out of the yard. I really don't know how the situation happened, but it left me so upset that I was crying too!

Thank goodness it had a happy ending!
