I'm thinking about getting a small 6" x 6" painting done of Henry. I have one of Frankie and Nick (my previous dog) that I love. My former neighbor is a pet portrait artist, and she did them for me and gave them to me for two different birthdays. I'm thinking about one of these pictures. The ones of Frankie and Nick are full body, so I'm wondering if Henry's should be, too. I'm thinking about the full body with the head from the other picture. Which picture do you all prefer? I'll post Frankie and Nick's pictures in a reply to this one.

The two portraits are beautiful!
Henry has such a pretty fluffy coat and cute little butter ball
body, I like the first one the best !😊

Thanks @beastielove. If I used the full body pose I would use the face of this picture.

What lovely paintings! Are they 6 X 6? I would worry about capturing detail in a full body of that size. Although i like the whole body photo of Henry the Great the face is shadowy and the draping tail would have to be addressed. I myself wouldn't ask to have one face put on another figure as i feel it would never turn out as perfect as it is in my minds eye and I wouldn't want to put that on the artist. That photo of Henrys handsome Face is perfect!

@candys mine @MimiLouise I am a little worried about putting one face onto another body, too. I may use the close-up of the face. The paintings of Frankie and Henry are 6" x 6" and have a surprising amount of detail for that size. I like that size. I have a large painting that she did of three dogs and a cat that I had at the same time a long time ago. I love it, too.

Love the portraits. Did a beautiful job.
Henry is so handsome and he knows it. Could you do a painting with both portraits? I’ve seen them done. Beautiful.
