Sammy, I am so sorry your Dear Friend is declining so quickly.  I know he is honored to be surounded by those that love him dearly.  I pray Trin Trin's appointment goes well today.  As I pray for my Brother City of Houston, I just cant image what the coming days will bring.  Our shelters set up in Dallas are starting to fill with those being able to get out of the devistation brought on by Harvey.  My mind is worried, are any of our dear friends located in that area?  I pray this has not affected any of our Dear Friends.

Have the best week possible dear friiends, we truly need to find strength in each other during these difficlut times.

Re: That Schmoo, he is one tough kitty fighter -- 2.0

Monday report:  Like @Shop Till you Drop, I wonder about our fellow Schmoosters who may be in harm's way in Texas.  I think @Tissyanne is more from the western part of Texas, but I not sure.  Prayers go to all and their furry loved ones in that area.

TrinTrin is at the specialty vet as we speak.  No word yet.

Times have been very tough of late here in Schmooville, so I thought I'd bring a little bit of a lighthearted post today.  When in New York, DH took me to Tiffany and bought 2 items related to Schmoo.  First, a sterling pen -- he said I should write about a great kitty with a great writing instrument.  And second, what's called the "open heart" ring, which he said symbolized  our joyful, loving Schmoo and the big-hearted Mommy who cared for him.  I almost broke down in the store at his thoughtfulness.

Now the good part.  We brought the items home, and these girl kitties, well, they know a Tiffany blue box with white ribbon when they see one ... so they opened my ring box for me and stole the white ribbon (temporarily).  They are girly girls for sure.

Here's a photo of the pen all wrapped up and the ring, opened courtesy of Frankie and Fay Wray:

Hi everyone. Sad times indeed here.Sammycat I am so sorry for what your firend is going through.Truly the most awful disease ever  I believe is ALS. Sending prayers.

The pictures of Texas today had me crying, its awful. I so hope Tissyanne is ok. I have many internet friends in Texas and all I can do is pray for them.

I love the story about Frankie and Fay Wray taking the ribbon, they know a good gift when they see one. How lovely of your DH. Wear the ring in good health.

Praying that the vet can help Trin Trin and also praying for her mom who must be sick with worry.

We do not remember days,we remember moments.

Hello Schmoo Family,

I just now caught up on reading through the past several days of sharing. @Sammycat1, you are correct. I am in West TX, and we have not received any weather from the hurricane. I feel badly for those in harm's way, and my prayers are with people and animals both.

I feel so sad about Trinity, and am hopeful that she feels better tonight. The picture of her reveals such a pretty girl.

I enjoyed the picture of the pretty ring, and laughed about the girls unwrapping it for you @Sammycat1. Smiley Happy I am glad you are back safely home.

@Sammycat1, I am so very sorry about your friend, and I also wonder about all the suffering that it causes. I have not known anyone personally that had it, but I have read about it. My prayers are with your friends.

Hello Everyone - concerned about everyone - human and animal alike in Texas - absolutely devastating. I hope all who live in the vicinity are safe and out of harm's way. The pictures are mind boggling. Living through a few hurricanes myself - I dread this time of year.

I am so sorry to hear all the bad health news here.

@Sammycat1 - wear your ring in good health and definitely write something beautiful with that pen.

Update on Snuggles - it's been a rocky road. Fairly good report on Friday. His virus and sinuses are a hinderance to anything we may consider doing. I bought a nebulizer and will pick up the medicine and give him treatments at home. He is a fighter and continues to amaze his doctor. She even did an ultrasound on him without sedation - he just layed there because he thought he was getting a belly rub Woman LOL GREAT NEWS - no change to the mass, but that doesn't mean it isn't causing us problems now. We are having poop issues - not fun for either of us. Trying to get it under control with probiotics.

Thank you all for the prayers - I do believe they are helping.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you - even if I don't voice it enough Heart

Re: That Schmoo, he is one tough kitty fighter -- 2.0

Tissy I am so glad your in W. Texas.  I new we shared the TX. connection, but I got worried you might be close to the storms.  We are getting daily rains in Dallas since Saturday, but all is ok.  Sammy,  I love your special ring and pen your wondrful husband bought for you.  The meaning is perfect for both of them.  And I love that the girls have such good taste.

I will take Mom to the Oncologist this Friday to review the CT scan she had last week.  Very anxious for those results.  Two more weeks until we see the next specialist to help us understand the 17 deletion in her blood.

Hugs Dear Friends, Lets hold strong during these difficult days.
