This is one reason we cook for our dogs!
Thank you.

Hi @Drythe
You know, I used to cook for some of my dogs in the past. They sure loved those cooking smells knowing it was all for them. I still have plenty of books about it.
Now Kiku's tummy seems to prefer Wellness beef stew - with plenty of other tidbits as appropriate for her size and activity level.
Do your dogs have favorite meals/dishes?

I am getting so sick of the disgusting pet food industry. I wish my "kids" would eat home cooked so I know what's in the food. How can you trust any company anymore to do what's right especially since the FDA lets them get away with murder. Rottet meat, moldy grains, phenobarbitol, seem to be the norm. Every time we have a natural disaster the animal carcasses are ground into pet food. Buying super premium does not seem to be a guarantee either. I noticed every time there is a recall it seems to work itself thru the brands which tells me the ingredients come from the same garbage pile. My pets are family and it infuriates me when their lives are endangered for profit.

If you haven't already, take a look at this article from Whole Dog Journal and its recommendations for a few homemade dog food books:
whole-dog-journal DOT com/food/home-prepared-dog-food-diet-books
Not "diet" as in losing weight but as in what a dog should eat.
I'm sure you could find a few recipes your dogs would like and that would make you feel good about feeding it to them.
ETA: After looking over the four books in this list, I kind of like the second. It got good reviews on amazon, too.

Scrambled eggies 🥚, sweet potato’s 🍠 , broiled chicken 🐔 with anything, especially oatmeal! Frozen turkey 🦃 necks - good for treats.
LOVE VEGGIES AND FRUITS, except the ones they are not supposed to have!
I am, as you know Lacto Ova, but the dogs 🐕 are NOT!
