This morning I saw a neighbor talking to her cat, it was obvious that she thought her cat understood her... I came to my house, I told my dog ... we laughed a lot.

We talk to our dogs.  They understand a lot of what we say so we spell certain trigger words.

@Desertdi.  My dog's intellect is just fine.  It's his selective hearing that is sometimes a problem.

I have always talked to my pets, both dogs and cats.  Some of them carry on a back and forth bark or meow.  My neighbors daughter tells her Mom, I am talking to the cat again.  Her Mom talks all the time to their pets!  The daughter must be so use to it in her on house.

My friend's shepherd took a running head start LEAP thru a window screen to go meet a squirrel.    Too bad Fido didn't ASK to go out, first...
