Re: THE PET CHAT CORNER MAY 18 - MAY 24

Today I took Krypto for his rabies shot. He's a seventeen year old Jack Russell and hates car rides. It was raining and he wants to bite the windshield wipers.
Snickers my female Jack Russell wanted to go in the car as soon as she saw my keys! She had her shots a few weeks ago and loved the attention from the girls!
The vets has curbside pick up now and they've done a great job. I do miss talking to the vet but it's all online. I feel like I'm abandoning them by not going in.
I had called first noting concerns and to be careful of his bad back that he's had for years. I also wrote notes down on a sheet about his flea control and to clip a dew claw.
He needs his teeth cleaned but I brush the dog's teeth nightly and won't do anesthesia on a seventeen year old dog unless it's an emergency.

Krypto was a trooper! Rode home more relaxed and was wanting his treat and Snickers was glad to see him.
They are both crashed in their beds on this rainy day and at four I'll get my wine treat. I deserve it!🐶  🐶

Re: THE PET CHAT CORNER MAY 18 - MAY 24

Tomorrow, May 20 is National Dog Rescue Day.   My two gals were "rescued" so I never got to meet their parents as I did with all my other spaniels.

Gracey who is age 12 still does a daily suckling ritual on her toy as if it were "her mother."  I blame this on her being taken away too early from her mother.  State of PA now has strict puppy mill rules thankfully.
