We took Simone for her wellness exam. The shelter has a policy that newly adopted animals need to be checked within 30 days of adoption. 

She weighs 6 pounds and is healthy. We noticed her scratching herself occasionally, and it turns out that the fur growing back is causing her to itch. She got an injection to ease the itching. She had fleas at the shelter (they're gone now), and could have an allergy to flea bites. If necessary, we got a topical cream to use on her. She's an indoor cat, so it might not be a problem, after all. We just have to watch her. Otherwise, the exam went well and Simone got a clean bill of healthy.

Wellness exam! I'm also elated that

you have made her in indoor kitty.

All of mine have always been indoor

kitties (including the current four)

and none of them ever had fleas!
