...coyotes were here first?

@Foxxee That was what I told a lady who was complaining about bear on her deck. She had bird feeders, hummingbird feeders, and a BBQ grill on that deck which is a buffet for a bear. She wanted the Game Wardens to trap the bear. I explained to her that she chose to build a house in the narrowest canyon of a dense forest that had a river running through it, I further commented that she had moved into in the bear's home. She is the one who should leave. Her comment was "I hadn't thought about it that way."

Here in Colorado, we have a hybrid coyote and wolf mix. We actually got to see one in person that came through our yard; so beautiful and big.

I also have that same comment for those who move from the city into the country who want the "country life". As part of an agricultural family raising crops and livestock, we were here first and all the aromas that go with it.

@Foxxee Timely post! We had morning visitors. One was behind the rest of the family and was scampering down our driveway as we were coming back from our walk.

@Pezzie Those guys in your photo are what we call Javelinas. I had posted some time ago that we ate wild pig that my husband had killed. They were not these! What he killed looked like a wild domestic pig. They tasted like grocery store pork. I do not want to eat those guys. They look a little gamey.

We have 3 or 4 mama raccoons comeing around with their babies, we always make sure to have food and water out early for moms so that they can stay home to nurse the babies. But we are now hitting the critical time with the families. . .the babies are coming and are behaving like typical 2 year olds, they get into my flower pots, veggie beds and rip into the bird feeders. We're prepared for them, The birdfeeders are protected and the flowers are put back together each morning....but they are sitting on my veggies and they ripped the peppers off the plants and must have had a game of catch going on with them! They are no longer welcome nuisances so the food it gone and they can go forage. . . sorry mama!
LOL!!!
