Last week I posted about the fright, helplessness and horror as my 5 lb chihuahua suffered a seizure. A few hours later my other dog, Coal was sprayed by a skunk. I continued to be the canine chef last week and even started to post a positive update last night. I was interrupted and did not get to post. This morning, just before 9, I found her lying on her side in the hallway...apparently another seizure. She was totally limp. I picked her up gently and laid on the bed with her as she came out of it. Her energy was pretty much tapped out for the rest of the day. She drank a lot of water but was less interested in food. She ate her pills out of my hand (to be sure she takes the)in a Sweet potato/ chicken slurry which I put in food processor so it is smooth. BTW, did I say she only has 2 teeth left? Not much food after that. Clearly this is going to be a roller coaster. Fortunately we live in a single story house. Thanks for listening, your kind responses and pics.

@Shiloh09, I am so sorry to read that Shiloh had another seizure. Is she on medication?
I urge you to keep a written record of your observations of the seizure--how strong, how long it lasts, how long it takes Shiloh to recover, if she will eat once recovered--and provide this information to your vet by email so s/he too has a contemporaneous record.
The information will help determine if the medication, presumably phenobarbital, needs to be increased or if an additional or different medication is needed.
If you are using pills please ask your vet about having the phenobarbital compounded into a flavored liquid. Based on my experience the liquid is more precise and timely dosing is easier. Maintaining a constant level of the medication is important.
Since using the liquid there has not been one single variation of blood level of phenobarbital in my cat's IDEXX results in 18 months.
