Saying goodbye is so Hard

Our beloved Dara passed away at 1am this morning. i have never cried so much in my life. her passing has left a great big hole in my heart. She was 17 years old. She was our steadfast companion and friend. She loved playing laser tag and with her catnip mouse. recently she became blind and never adjusted to her new normal. her health deteriorated. i loved her so much. we will go to the funeral home today to pick out an urn. she will be cremated. she leaves behind a sister and two grieving human parents. I'm lost, right now. the loss leaves such a void. my emotions are raw.

Oh, bless your heart! I feel for you and can totally understand how you feel. Your heart just hurts so much for the missing of your sweet little baby. I lost my dear baby angel puppy (hence my nick) quite a few years ago and the pain is still very severe. I think of him every single day and still cry for him. They give us so much more than we could ever give them. Your Dara was beautiful. I know you gave her a wonderful life and she could not have asked for a better mamma. Some day you will be able to think of her with tears of not only sadness, but also of happiness and joy -- for all the wonderful times that you shared and all the love that you gave to each other.

The moment I saw your beloved

Dara's beautiful face I stared to cry

and am still crying as I'm writing this.

My heart and my condolences go

out to you and your DH and I can

relate to the deep pain and sense of

loss that you're both dealing with

as I've been down that same dark

terrible road many times before

and will be again at some point.

I'm Mommy to four rescued kitties

and my Samantha,who strongly

resembles Dara,will turn 17 on

May 5th.

Please find solace in the fact that

Dara always knew in her kitty heart

how very much you both loved her,

that she is now at peace,is healthy

and can see again and is running like

a kitten with all of her new friends

thru the sunlit meadows of that most

blessed place on the other side of

The Bridge.

Please find comfort by knowing that

Dara's loving spirit will be surrounding

the both of you 24/7 until you all meet

again.
