His name is Maui. He is 11 months old and lives in Pittsburgh PA. I just love this picture.

He looks so cute.  These dogs just love the snow and they love to run too.

I used to have one named Koko.  He was the sweetest dog ever, but boy was he an escape artist!

@Greeneyedlady21   Beautiful dog.  You said he lives in Pittsburgh Pa.  I lived there for 40 years before moving East....and miss it everyday.   I think that Maui would look great in a Black and Gold Steelers hat.  😊

Re: Samoyed In The Snow

[ Edited ]

I used to have a Samoyed many years ago. Such a beautiful dog to own and most that I see have a natural smile on their face.

The only reason I gave it back to the breeder was because this breed is known for doing more digging in a yard than most dogs. I didn't know that when I purchased it. At the time I had a hybrid lawn that was immaculate, like a putting green on a golf course. It didn't take long for me to decide that I made a wrong choice in breeds.

I later got a couple of Akitas, which were more friendly to my lawn. Smiley Happy

LOL @Greeneyedlady21.  I read the thread title and my immediate thought was how can you tell there is a Samoyed in the snow.

Adorable photo and beautiful dog.

My husband now, had a Samoyed when we were engaged.  When we got married we planned to take him, but he didn't adapt too well, so he stayed with my in-laws.  Hubby always went back to take him to the parks in the snowy winters, he loved it!
