@Icegoddess   I'm sorry that your precious Sambo had so much trouble. You did your very best to help him. 
  It's hard to make decisions for our pets especially since we want them to be here for us. 
  Years ago I learned that with my pets,quality of life is important to them. 
   Sambo was beautiful and much loved. You gave him a good life. Take care.

the unexpected loss of your

precious Sambo and my heart

also goes out to him for having

such a brief life...one that should

have been years longer.

The first photo clearly shows how

stunning and magnificent he was.

Please find comfort in the fact that

even though Sambo only blessed your

life for 5 years he always knew how

very much you loved him,that he was

surrounded by that same love when you

sent him to The Bridge in peace and

with dignity and that he is now running

like a kitten with all of his new friends

thru the sunlit meadows of that most

blessed place.

@Icegoddess Oh no!  I have been following your posts, remaining so hopeful for Sambo.

Seems it wasn't meant to be, in spite of everyone giving it their best.  Believe me, I know how hard it is to say goodbye.  I've been there too many times.  

Thanks for sharing his photos and about his life well lived, although far too short. Hold him in your memories, as time heals. Time is the only thing that does.

And, never forget, that you did a fantastic job managing his health issues.  You, no doubt extended his life, in managing his chronic respiratory issues. In someone else's hands, he may not have made it half as long.

@Icegoddess Oh I am so so sorry to see this. Sambo is beautiful and so floofy. You did the kind and loving thing by not putting him through all those procedures.

He had love and joy every day he was with you.

He's in heaven with all the other animals that have gone from this life and will always be in your heart and his spirit will be with you. I believe that.

I also believe that St. Francis, who tamed a wolf, guards all animals in heaven. Thank you for sharing sweet Sambo's story.

@Icegoddess   I am so very sorry for your loss.  Sambo was such a beautiful cat.  It's hard to lose such a special pet.  He was so young, and that makes it doubly sad.  You did the most loving thing you could do for him by letting him go.  I know your heart is breaking.  I believe you will be reunited one day in heaven.

Nothing I can say will make you feel better, but please know that you did what was best for Sambo.  You gave him a happy life.  He is gone too soon, for sure.
