Re: SILENCE ISN'T ALWAYS GOLDEN

Tell me about it! When we adopted our Lab/Great Pyrenees boy, he was still very much a puppy at 15 months old.

I was working in another part of the house and noticed things were awfully quiet. Went to check on him--and he had torn most of the upholstery off the arm of my sofa! He saw me, and had the nerve to act like he was proud of himself--prancing around with the fabric in his mouth, shaking his head and wanting to play tug with it!

I couldn't do anything but laugh!

My little guy chewed through three Apple cords ($85.00 each, ouch) when he was a puppy...so I know the look!

My Misty, who I'd just gotten from a rescue group, chewed up one of a pair of brand-new, never worn,  beautiful burgundy Ugg boots.  I considered packing her in the car and taking her back.  So glad I didn't. O

If you don't already have one, new puppies should come with a Baby-cam.

Re: SILENCE ISN'T ALWAYS GOLDEN

Our half German Shepherd, Trampis, was suspiciously quiet for a long time.  When I walked into our family room, he had ripped the couch cushions to pieces and he was rolling around in the stuffing.  I was speechless.  I couldn't even yell at him.   I went back to the kitchen and finished making dinner.  I don't why he did it.  He was 10 years old and had never done anything like that before.  He didn't even chew slippers.

@phoenixbrd. lol, I guess I did forgive her as she's still here 7 years later. She stopped chewing literally overnight and has proven to be a wonderful companion.

Re: SILENCE ISN'T ALWAYS GOLDEN

I am currently taking care of my brother's 3 month old puppy and I can attest that is one of the truest statements ever made.

The more I learn the more I realize how little I know.
Are you setting an example or being an example?
