I saw that too.  Why can't the 20% stay w/their handlers?  And furthermore, you mean to tell me no one in Texas wants a "well trained" senior dog that these folks have to go outside the state to find customers? 


To be blunt, not all of the handlers come home or into a situation/circumstances that would allow them to keep the dogs.  Glad they are offering them a second life with a family.

Someday, when scientists discover the center of the Universe....some people will be disappointed it is not them.

@SXMGirlchecked out the link on the military dogs, and the story about the Black Lab named Tank was so heartbreaking, his handler loved him so much but was killed in Iraq.  Still crying typing this.  Im so glad a wonderful person adopted him.
