Oh my, Lily was so beautiful, and what a lovely face and expression she had. She looks so snuggable, and I know you'll miss her forever. I am a dog lover who believes that they'll be waiting for us and we will see them again. I hope your loving memories of her will give you comfort.

I am so very sorry for your loss, @mrshckynut !  Your Lily was a beautiful dog, with a beautiful soul, shining from her eyes.  I know all too well that the knowledge that you spared her more suffering is cold comfort at this time, but in the end it is our most important duty as a pet parent, to inflict horrible emotional pain on ourselves in order to spare them a minute of any sort of suffering.
