Re: Puppy found at burned out property

For those who doubt that some of us would never leave behind a "member of the family" - you are entitled to your belief.  But so are we.  You do not know what is in the deepest part of our hearts.

To the point, I worked with a lovely young woman years ago, whose home burnt down one night.  She and her husband got out, but she went back to get her animals out, because she could not have lived with herself, had she not tried.

She died in the fire and a plaque and small garden was put in place at work, in her memory.  Her husband said it was who she was.  So don't think you can decide for everyone, what they would do in these circumstances.

You know what you would do.  You do not know what someone else would do.

Re: Puppy found at burned out property

I haven't read this entire thread, so someone may have said this already.  This was on the national news one night.  They said that the family had lots of puppies and couldn't find this one.  They had to evacuate quickly.

I would think I wouldn't have left until I found the last puppy, but I don't know how close the fire was and how much time they actually had to leave.  I'm just glad the puppy was found alive.

@SeaMaiden As we say in the south here in Mississippi, bless his heart!  I am so glad that he was found and can get the love and attention he so deserves.  Thanks for sharing this story with a hopeful ending in the midst of all the devastation of fires.  You go Trooper!!!!!!!!
