Prayers needed for pet lovers' poster and her dog Jake

Pet Lovers Forum friends,

I humbly ask for prayers for a dear, regular poster on the "Schmoo" thread on this forum named Shop Till You Drop. Her dog Jake has been battling cancer and she has just told us he's n serious decline now.

This special poster has been a wonderful friend to so many on our thread for many, many years, and although I know she'd never ask, I think prayers from those on the Pet Lovers forum would bring her comfort now. She has written the story of Jake in a recent post on the Schmoo thread if you would like to read details.

Thank you. I've included a photo of Jake and his buddy Joey -- they've been named the "Double J's" on the Schmoo thread. It's a tiny photo but I don't know how to enlarge it without making it grainy. They're adorable and mean the world to Shop:

Thank you for posting this @Sammycat1. I'm so sorry and will keep Shop Til You Drop and Jake in my prayers. I've had dogs with cancer. It's very hard and sad.

Oh no. There’s no way I can be half as eloquent as you @Sammycat1, but you have my prayers. As hard as it is to bear, we all come to the end of our days on this earth. Logically we all know this, but emotionally I think we always hold out a tiny hope that it just won’t happen to us. I think that’s because we just can’t imagine living without our beloved.

Shop Till You Drop, I am offering prayers of comfort and peace to you, Jake and Joey too. 🕊🙏❤️
