Thinking good thoughts for Beautiful little Fay Wray and her family.
02-12-2019 10:13 PM
Our girl is back home from her vet appointment. She's holding her own, some kidney values a little worse.
We're changing up her subq fluids and other medicines in the hopes that it will help, and our vet will be calling a veterinary specialist (that our cat Schmoo saw many years ago) and asking what more can be done about her tongue ulcer.
So we have to change up our routine, but as I wrote on the Schmoo thread in Pet Lovers, quality over quantity is what we're aiming for. Fay Wray's in renal failure and we just want her to enjoy the time she has in the only home she's every loved (and ever been cherished in).
On behalf of Fay Wray, Frankie, DH and I, thank you for your prayers. Please keep our girl in yours if you can...because as she is applying a healing paw on her Daddy's leg in the photo below, your prayers for her have made all the difference:

@Sammycat1There's No better place on Earth than where you find peace, safety and Love. Fay Wray knows she's got the very best. Wishing her all comfort and peace in her time with you all. Have a blessed day.

I was hoping for a miracle. I read your comment about quality time vs quantity time. That is an amen statement for all of us. We all really dream of a quality life over a quantity. I sure know how we never seem to have out pets long enough. My health adventures have made me have to really think about making the most of what I have instead of being focused on what I don't have. It has made me cherish my days a lot more.
I am posting this because you need to know that you have given Fay Wray love that she did not have before. You are getting her the best care. You are making each day as special as you can. Somehow in all of this I can imagine God looking down on you and shaking his head saying, "job well done".
I continue to pray that you are blessed with as much quality time as possible with Fay Wray. My heart goes out to you in your journey. I wish there was something I could do to smooth the rough edges for you.
We all need to make each day a quality day!

That picture is the very best. I know little Miss is one sick kitty, but let me tell you, she still looks as pretty as ever!!

A circle of love surrounds your sweet family. I woke in the early morning hours, and said a prayer for all of you.
Today is windy, and warm here. We are expecting a cool down beginning next week. We have had a dry winter, and now with the beginning of our March winds the dirt does blow.

Your post brought me to tears, and I am thankful that you believe in what DH and I try to do for our special-needs cats.
It especially hit home because I, too, have been struggling with health challenges for about a year now, from back issues to a knee replacement/reconstruction that I'm still healing from. I don't know how much quality I'll be left with and still am fighting for the promise of more because it still exists -- but I'm trying to get to a place where you, appreciating what I have instead of what I don't have. I'll need you for my Zen Master in this regard!
Enough about me. This morning Fay Wray looked so rough I didn't think she'd live until noon. It was dehydration--as she has slowly eaten and had more to drink, she's doing better. Currently she's sleeping whlie listening to Frankie's favorite, Alex de Grassi.
Our girls are asleep in their comfy spots and are content. They have snow flurries to watch then they wake up. They have me busting a hump on their behalf but it's the best work I'll ever do:

Love the photo of your girls curled up facing each other. Please kiss the top of Fay Wray's head and squeeze Frankie's "bunny feet" for me. Still praying for your little family. Take care.
