@tarsmom , my last Lab was also a silver, his eyes golden color.  He was an English and grew to 112 lbs.  Most gentle loving dog I've ever known.   We named him Maverick.   I also like Grayson,  because of their color.

Your pup is absolutely adorable...I'd love to have one just like yours.   Did you go to a breeder?

@Dazlin

yes!  My hairstylist bought one a year ago and then 6 months later she bought another one.  We initially wanted a golden but they are hard to come by and the waiting lists are long. Even the rescue golden list is long!  (we owned a golden in the past).  When my DH saw a pic of the silver that my hairstylist posted on FB, he suggested contacting the breeder. Lucky for us they had puppies in December, so we went to see them and fell in love.  This will be my first puppy at age 65!! Smiley Happy

Re: Please help with naming my lab puppy (male)

He is a beauty ! I liked the suggested Murphy Blue ,but if the eyes would change that would be questionable.  @Dazlin 's Grayson would be nice.

Pet parents and human baby parents frequently strive to pick a unique name. Then many times that name seems to be quite used by many. DH & I have had a zillion dogs over the years . I named one Max and thought that was unique then came to find out it was the most popular amongst dogs and cats. To us he was the most unique Max though! We used many variations= Maxwell / Maximielliono / (sp?)Maximus-- he answered to all.

Of course most dogs , especially puppies probably do not care what you call them as long as you call them for meals , treats & pets .

Enjoy your new companion. Smiley Happy

Re: Please help with naming my lab puppy (male)

@tarsmom ,  I'm not far from you in age...and we rescued another lab 2 1/2 yrs ago.  Hes a yellow lab, maybe you've seen my posts about him,  Gabriel.   This guy is an American lab, much more high energy and athletic than my previous silver, English lab.  Hes still a puppy brain,  but he's making progress.   He's about 70 lbs, and can be quite rambunctious at times...but I can handle him just fine...I have to stay firm with him.  He did knock me over racing out the front door,  he hit me behind the knees, causing me to fall out onto the cement porch...I got banged up a bit.  He didn't think anything of it...happy as can be...tail wagging a mile a minute because he got out.

 Let us know what name you chose...and enjoy him!!

You've probably named him by now, but my vote is for Lincoln.  That was my grandfather's middle name and everybody called him Linc.

Man plans. God laughs.
