I would pick Murphy. However, here's another idea:
Montana Blue with a nickname of Monty

Looks like a Murphy to me. We had a German Shepard named Outlaw. He came with the name. Best dog we ever had. I would love a puppy but my husband says no. Oh I did go on---sorry.

@tarsmom I never name a pet before taking them home and seeing their personality. Usually a name comes right away after holding them and looking into their eyes!
Just looking at that face brings the name Snuffle to mind!

@tarsmom. One suggestion...Pick a short one syllable name, the most effective for getting his attention and giving commands. Performance dogs like K-9s, agility and herding dogs nearly always have quick, one syllable names.

My DH knows I have been missing my dog that passed last July. We plan to take him in our truck camper as my husband is on several RV forums and it sounds like people take their dogs with them a lot! It does limit us but I really need a pal - the house is very empty now. My only son lives out of state and our parents have passed on.

that's a great idea
I know we didn't want a long name - although cute it's not practical when calling them.

I was curious so I looked up blue eyed dogs. It's rare but most commonly they are huskies, borders, and/or aussies.
the only reason I asked is because a lot of the suggestions were based on the eyes remaining blue...

Gorgeous little man. His eyes look blue.
I would name him BLUE.
Have fun with him and enjoy.
