Another rescue is Ember.  She was pulled out of a sewer pipe by a dog when she was a tiny baby.  She is best buds with Sammy and fills our life with so much joy.

   We had a little throw-a-way, in fact all of ours through marraige and our son's childhood were not wanted and just >LEFT<... Our very first was a little gray female, and her name was Sammie Girl. 

  Our big black cat -his name was (guess).. ` Blackie; he lived to be 18 years old. He was diagnosed with sarcoma of the right leg, so to live a longer life at 16, his little leg had to be amputated.

 We cared for him those many months, almost two years until the cancer slowly metastasized beyond any medical help.

    I do understand about black kitties to cats.   ~
