I thought I might as well start a new thread on this.
WholeDogJournal.com reports that there have been new tests done on dog/pet car carriers. Most of them failed miserably.
Go to the site, type in "car safety," and the info will come up.
(I'm sad because I really thought about getting one of those new circular carriers but apparently it has zero resistance to being crushed.) :-(

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago when I was researching car harnesses or carriers. The Center For Pet Safety is who does the tests. www.centerforpetsafety.org I'm glad the Whole Dog Journal has posted it, too. It's amazing that only one harness and two carriers passed.
