I have used on my dogs for stressful times to help them stay calm.  Vet recommended.

I know actors that use the 'people' version spay for their throat to prevent strain.

Here's part of my reply to your same question a bit earlier yesterday re: human use, in case you don't see it.

As already metioned, it's been effective for most pets as well.

Reviews for the pet version:

It's "Bach's Rescue Remedy", BTW, and their stuff is made from all-natural flower essences.  Smiley Happy

I have used it with limited results.  It is not a cure and depending on the severity of his anxiety you may not see any difference.  It is worth a try, you may also want to consult a trainer to see what can be done in conjunction.

I used Rescue Remedy years ago and could tell no difference in my dog.

My dog (Lab/Shepard) gets extremely nervous with a LOT of situations, 4th of July and New Years I can be guaranteed that she will have a huge freak out.  As she gets older (she's 4) her panicking is getting worse, I took her to Petsmart for her grooming, they called me and said I needed to pick her up because she was non-responsive to them and she wouldn't walk. They said they took off her leash to see if she would walk and she ran to the corner and coward there. When I picked her up she was fine, would've never known she had acted the way they described (btw, she has been to Petsmart for her groomings so the problem wasn't that it was her first time).  When I took her to the vet for her vaccinations I discussed it with her.  She recommended Pet Rescue; I immediately purchased it from Dr Fosters & Smith. This past 4th of July was the big test for her.  About 3:00 pm I gave her the recommended amount on a treat (I think it's 4 drops). I left for a few hours, when I got home I gave her another dose around 8:00 pm.  OMG, I couldn't believe how good it worked!!!  When my neighbors started setting off their fireworks she was sitting on the couch with me, when the pop pops went off she picked her head up, cocked it, then went back to relaxing. Her normal reaction to fireworks were pace frantically while trying to find somewhere to hide.  I'm so glad it worked for my Stormy girl :-)
