Just wanted to let all my friends know Tufts is still testing. They've never seen anything like this. We've gone from sepsis, kidney disease to Addison's (still awaiting results) and Cushing together as his adrenals are enlarged, perhaps caused by brain tumor and/or additional cancer throughout his body. He also can't walk at all right now, but could be just 'cause it takes longer to a dog his age to recoup.
Tomorrow they'll be doing neurology and some kind of thing where they put a needle in and take samples into my boy. They will also get the Addison results tomorrow.
They've never seen anything like this. So more testing.
They were gonna put a feeding tube in through his nose 'cause he wasn't eating at all. But, they let me see him this afternoon and gave us a piece of chicken breast which he ate when I was there. So they let me go home and bring some food in for Eddy. I boiled two large chicken breasts (could anyone tell me proper way to do this - think I may have overcooked them); also bought in green beans and plain white rice. He ate a few green beans, did not want the plain rice, but ate about 1- 1/2 chicken breasts - then the doctor took the remainder away. All this happenned while they were making rounds and they were all ecstatic that he finally ate!
Please keep Eddy in your prayers and sending good thoughts out to the universe. Eddy and I really appreciate it. Thank you - and Eddy sends his love.

eddyandme, there are times it is difficult to make a definitive diagnosis. As Eddy's symptoms are presenting as something they've not dealt with, they will have to eliminate the possible causes, one by one. It seems as though they are exploring every possibility and being very thorough.
It is a good sign that Eddy has his appetite. God bless him, still loving and eating his chicken. You and Eddy will be uppermost in my thoughts and prayers tonight. I will pray that a diagnosis is forthcoming and most of all, that Eddy be as pain free as possible. Your love and devotion are surely a comfort.
Please, please keep us updated. Hugs.

It's so hard to wait through all the testing to find out what is going on. Sounds like Tufts is doing a great job with Eddy and letting you provide the support he needs to eat and hang in there. Hang in there too and continue the support that means so much to him. My thoughts continue to be with you and I send prayers your way.

I'm still praying for you, Eddy, and the veterinarians. I told DH about him, and tomorrow I will read your latest post. I think it's a good sign that he's eating. If he was in too much pain he wouldn't be interested. I know they will do their best to help, and I will get back to you tomorrow.
Eddy is so blessed you're his mom! (((HUGS)))

@eddyandme I will keep praying for all of you. Addisons disease is an easy thing to control with medication. I had two dogs with addisons (no relation) and they both lived to almost 15. If this is the case I would suggest you give fludrocortisone in pill form rather than the percorten. I gave 2 pills a day and my dogs never went into addisons crisis. A neighbor gave percorten shots and her dog was in crisis at least 4 times a year. My theory is that with the pills her body stayed at the same levels all the time and with percorten you don't know when they need a shot until they begin a "crisis". I think each crisis harms them and shortens their lives. I am in no way an expert but have dealt with addisons for years. Both are now gone but it was not addisons that took them down, one was a turmor and the other chronic uti's. Giving you this info just in case so you can discuss with the vets at Tufts if it turns out to be addisons. Prayers are with you.
