PENNSYLVANIA CAT DIAGNOSED WITH COVID-19.

HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania has confirmed its first coronavirus-positive cat, state Department of Agriculture officials announced Tuesday.

 

The 16-year old Cumberland County cat lived in a household with multiple individuals who had previously been diagnosed with COVID-19. The feline in early October began suffering mild respiratory illness.

So far, cats, dogs, and mink(s) aren't safe from the virus.  Smiley Sad

The poor baby had to be euthanized because of respiratory distress. Woman Sad

Oh,  my!   We live very near this.  Thanks for the heads-up. Our cat has some chronic health issues, so of course we're careful ourselves but also on her behalf.
