I took our little rescue dog in to the vet yesterday & she found bladder stones! She set her up for surgery this morning! This is the new natural vet that I just started. She did tests & took xray. There are a lot of small ones & 2 big ones! I am so worried about our baby! We have grown to love her so much. And not knowing her background is scary because we have no clue what she might or might not be able to handle! We have had her a couple of months now. The vet we took her to before never said anything about this. But I saw the xray & was there in the next room when they took it! I woke up this am doubting whether I made the right decision or not! I have to leave in an hour. My stomach is in knots! I have never had another dog with bladder stones ever! I'm wondering how hard this will be on her. She is 13 lbs! Please say a prayer for us!

I know how scary and heartbreaking it is when your pet is sick. I'll keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers. Since you caught this right away, I just know everything is going to turn out fine.
Please keep us updated!

Sending a prayer for your sweet doggie to come through surgery and no more stones. I have a cat with blockage that needed to be cleared. I know what it feels like. You love your baby so much and it is made harder since they don't understand.
I'm sure she will be fine and she will be so happy to see you with a swish of a tail. Pls keep us posted.

I hope it is good we are going right away to take care of it! It just scares me so. To open up their bladder sounds so bad! And painful for recovery! She is laying on me asleep right now. We have to leave soon. I am getting more & more nervous! Just want her to be okay! Vet said they are causing her pain. I don't want her in pain either!

Our rescue pup had them too. We couldn't figure out why she started to peepee in the house when she didn't before. She was only 1 1/2 years old.
The vet palpated and thought stones or cancer. She had xrays the next day and thankfully they were bladder stones.
She did fine and your sweet pup will too.
You may even get a souvenir jar of their stones...just kidding. We did (LOL) and it was amazing how loaded she was with them and how huge they were. No wonder she couldn't hold her urine...there was no room!!
Here we are 8 years later and she's as wonderful as ever!!
Good thoughts for your sweet pup and to you.

My first dog had this surgery many, many years ago. She was over 12 and did just fine. Lived a good long life.
